MISSION
VSB assists visually impaired residents of Fairfield County, Conn. maintain an independent lifestyle.  VSB provides drivers, shoppers, readers, clerical assistants and visits.  All services are entirely free of charge and are provided by carefully screened volunteers who are reliable and dependable.
VOLUNTEERS
 
Do you want to help someone with visual impairment maintain an independent lifestyle?  Can you commit to one to two hours per week for a minimum of six months? 
 
We invite you to join our sunshine team of volunteers. 
 
Call our Coordinator of Volunteers at 203-324-6611, extension 2 to schedule an interview. Bring two written reference letters and complete an application.
 
 
  
CLIENTS
 
Does your visual impairment no longer allow you to drive, read or do clerical work? 
 
Would you like one of our volunteers to assist you?  Call the Coordinator of Client Services at 203-324-6611, extension 1.
 
We'll help you complete an application. Please ask your ophthalmologist to certify that your visual acuity keeps you from the activities that our services address.  If you would like a driver, please have your doctor certify that you are mobile and medically stable to be driven.
